Tina del Mar, DACM, L.Ac., RN
I’m Tina — a licensed acupuncturist and registered nurse with over 20 years of clinical experience supporting people through pain, stress, and the demands of modern life.
My background includes two decades as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse at California Pacific Medical Center. That foundation in Western medicine shapes how I assess pain, movement, and the nervous system, and informs the thoughtful, integrative care I provide today.
My own health journey led me to acupuncture and Chinese medicine, where I found a more comprehensive and sustainable approach to well-being. I earned my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in San Francisco from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
My work blends modern clinical understanding with traditional East Asian medicine, with a strong emphasis on orthopedic and musculoskeletal acupuncture, nervous system regulation, and lifestyle medicine. I believe effective care looks at the whole picture — how pain, stress, sleep, movement, work demands, and daily habits interact in the body.
My clinical training and lived experience shape how I work with patients. I focus on practical, sustainable strategies that fit real lives, recognizing that meaningful change happens gradually and within the context of everyday demands.
Each visit begins with a whole-body intake. I take time to listen, assess movement and symptoms, and understand how physical strain and nervous system load may be contributing to what you’re experiencing. Treatments are individualized and may include acupuncture, dry needling techniques, herbal support, and lifestyle guidance. Care is always tailored to the individual, with attention to both immediate concerns and long-term balance.
